High-end multi-camera systems for industrial image processing vicosys® 19001 and vicosys® 6300

Vision & Control has used the current supply crisis as an opportunity to replace electronics that are no longer available with faster components.

multi camera system vicosys® 19001

The result is two powerful multi-camera image processing systems for rack and control cabinet.

With vicosys® 19001 and vicosys® 6300 Kompakt, Vision & Control GmbH presents two new powerful multi-camera systems for industrial image processing. The flat high-end multi-camera system vicosys® 19001 is only two U high and designed for installation in 19-inch racks. Its eight-core processor (Intel Core i7-10700E) ensures maximum speed at a 2.8 GHz clock rate. Up to 16 cameras can be connected. In addition, there are slots for digital inputs and outputs, Profinet and other camera cards. Thanks to the direct fieldbus connection, the system integrates seamlessly into PROFINET, ETHERCAT, modbusTCP, TELNET and many other industrial networks.

The vicosys® 6300 Kompakt multi-camera system offers maximum speed in the control cabinet. In it, Intel's Core-i3-9100TE processor ensures fast image processing at 3.20 GHz. The basic version has a GigE vision camera interface (without PoE) and an Ethernet LAN connection. The direct fieldbus connection allows the system to be seamlessly integrated into all common industrial networks. Six USB 3.1 and two USB 3.0 sockets are also available, as are two RS232 interfaces. Optionally, the system can be expanded by four GigE Vision ports (with PoE). In addition, there are expansion cards for 16 digital inputs and outputs with PnP or NPN as well as Profinet.

Thanks to the web-based user interface, all Vision & Control vision systems can be intuitively operated via web browser using any PC or tablet. With the specially developed webHMI, you can configure interfaces tailored to the individual needs of each user, without any time-consuming programming. You can design flexible program sequences effortlessly with the graphical development environment. Even customer-specific algorithms can be easily integrated into vicosys®. The flexible multi-camera system supports the Python-like programming language Ruby. This allows you, for example, to use your own formulas to transform distances into any output. You have access to the powerful image processing library Halcon in a process-stable Linux environment.

Vision & Control supports the vicosys® series with a portfolio of more than 300 different camera models. From VGA resolution to 29 megapixels, with infrared sensitivity or high-speed function - you will find the optimal solution for every application. In combination with the manufacturer's BLUE Vision products (lenses and illuminators), optical resolutions in the micrometer range are possible. Special matrix, line scan or thermal imaging cameras are also supported.

With its smart image processing systems of the vicosys® series, Vision & Control GmbH provides the flexible basis for industrial measurement and inspection tasks - from optical positioning and control to thermographic monitoring. The vision systems are in demand wherever great flexibility and robust industrial interfaces are required and high processing speeds are demanded with the simultaneous use of several cameras.

Despite the current difficult supply situation with electronic components, Vision & Control has managed to stock up on cameras from various manufacturers at an early stage. Like the multi-camera systems, these are immediately available from stock and are available for the long term.
