For more than 30 years, the diverse possibilities of optical metrology have inspired our innovation and technologies. Tailor-made optical systems consisting of lenses and illumination, combined with our application know-how and the appropriate image processing system, make Vision & Control your partner for optical measurement and inspection technology.
Suitable optics for your application
An extensive catalog of
- telecentric measuring lenses,
- telecentric large field objectives,
- microscope objectives
- and entocentric objectives, paired with customized optics development or adaptation to your requirements with the shortest Time2Market and moderate batch sizes.
The perfect illumination for your application
Vision & Control also offers a comprehensive selection of telecentric lighting, ring, line, area, spot and dome lighting.
If the right solution is not available, the lighting can be adapted to specific requirements. The integration of lighting into an optical system is another component of our OEM services.
The vision system vicosys®
- is a guarantee that Vision & Control is able to translate the unique properties of light into innovative applications for optical metrology. Some optical phenomena only become visible through the mathematics in the background.
Our application team will be happy to support you in the realization of your inspection tasks.
Depending on the size and depth of the test object, a special depth of field or adjustment of the working distance or focus may be necessary to ensure the required imaging quality over the entire range. This challenge can be met by integrating a liquid lens module into the optical system.
By using the I2C interface of the camera to the liquid lens module, the adjustment of the focus to the sharpest image or targeted adjustment of the working distance can be controlled by GenICam commands from the vicosys® image processing system. This solution provides vision & control from a single source.
Depending on the requirements, the inspection of boreholes or cavities in test objects can be carried out from the outside using specific pericentric optics.
Inside narrow boreholes and cavities in test objects, the inspection of the side walls can be carried out using catadioptric (reflective) optics. If the bottom of the borehole is also to be captured, lenses in a special form of fisheye optics, the equidistant projection, lead to the best inspection results.
Multi-aperture optics and multi-measuring point optics are a special feature in terms of saving space and time in optical testing.
Multi-aperture optics integrate various sensors and wavelength ranges in one optic. Multi-measuring point or split-field optics combine several inspection locations on one camera chip.
Use the wavelength-specific reflection of materials, especially in the short-wave infrared range (SWIR), to make hidden structures in semiconductor materials or transparent structures on the surface visible.
This is made possible by imaging and processing in the SWIR wavelength range. Vision & Control develops, manufactures and supplies the appropriate optics, cameras and vicosys® image processing systems.
It is essential that the optical system can achieve both the appropriate chromatic correction and the optimal transmission in the customer's focal wavelength range. Our application team will be happy to support you in the implementation of your testing tasks.
Also using the infrared radiation of hot bodies, thermal inspection with appropriate thermal cameras (microbolometer cameras) offers the possibility of carrying out both optical inspection tasks and the precise measurement of temperatures and temperature gradients. This technology is based on the detection of infrared radiation in the MWIR and LWIR wavelength range. In conjunction with the thermography function of our vicosys® image processing systems, thermography inspections can be carried out and transmitted to the system control system via an interface.
