NEW VICOLUX® BAR LIGHTING OPTIMALLY ILLUMINATES SMALL OBJECTS EVEN IN RESTRICTED SPACES
Vision & Control has added four new series of vicolux® bar lights to its extensive component system. The precise lighting direction of the LAL and LDL series of bar lights accurately targets and intensively illuminates object details. This makes them highly suitable for use in e.g. applications with line scan cameras.
Vision & Control offers its LAL and LDL series of bar lights with both directed and diffuse lighting direction, enabling users to deploy them in a wide range of applications. The LAL lights thus feature directed lighting direction, e.g. to recognise edges and surface structures with targeted shadowing effects.
The LDL lights are designed for use in applications requiring very diffuse lighting direction. They are used e.g. to illuminate opaque and transparent objects evenly while also lighting up reflecting surfaces with homogeneous intensity. The new bar lights are available in different sizes. Bar lights with widths of 7 mm and 14 mm and lengths from 25 mm to 250 mm (in steps of 25 mm) permit optimal integration into the image processing system.
The bar lights are available with a wide light spectrum covering the following illumination colours: red (630 nm), green (525 nm), blue (470 nm), amber (617 nm), white (RGB x = 0.33/y = 0.33), infrared (850 nm), infrared (880 nm) and infrared (950 nm).
Despite their small size, the lights are delivered with integrated controls. The integrated controller guarantees constant lighting conditions with a voltage supply range of 12 to 30 VDC. A PLC port allows the lighting to be switched within a time span from 150 µs to infinite. The electrical connection is made via an M5 plug on the lighting housing. Different lengths of highly flexible cable are provided as accessories. The compact, industrially usable and robust housing complies with the IP50 protection standard.
